Guitar Apprentice 45min

Have you been playing already and hit that wall? Want to learn how the guitar works so you can create chords and progressions on the spot? This course is for the player who needs reinforcement and expansion so you can spend more time writing and playing out!
Singer/Songwriter 60min

Want to learn everything I know through years of attending music college and real life applications? Do you like asking questions and taking the time tp learn and play with no rush? This is the course for those who love the instrument and would like to have that person to person every week. You are a Hero indeed!

Guitar/Bass Maintenance
A proper setup is required on any instrument made of wood and metal, whether it’s a new instrument or your old favorite that needs to be reset after seasonal changes and lots of play.
After years of obsessing over the perfect setup on both my own guitars as well as students and friends over the years, I decided to offer this service officially. Time and time again, I would see “guitar techs” return guitars with unpolished frets, unfinished fret crown jobs or just do almost nothing and take money from musicians. Or the one “good tech” take weeks to months to accomplish a two day service, simply because there was no one else in town. The Houston area music scene deserves well playing instruments for the growing scene with a decent turnaround to get back into playing.
-General Setup (Neck Relief, Action, Intonation, Restring, Instrument Clean/Polish, Any and all Hardware Maintenance- Proper tightening of all screws, nuts, etc., cleaning pots/switches/jacks.) Fret Polish, Fretboard Conditioning(non-maple necks only)
This includes a new set of strings (preferred gauge/brand) included in service. Each instrument is setup with “as arrives” measurements (previously setup, player preference) or can be set to “factory spec” settings (i.e. good for new instruments or change of playing styles).
A great tool means more creativity, less finicking and lets the musician spend more time playing! I take care of your instrument as if it was my own and want it to play at its best for you to express your own musical goals and dreams!
This is an extended service and includes a standard setup. If your frets are buzzing, looking flat under places that meet the string or even your intonation is off, this can be due to fret wear, improper installation and/or technique.
Includes heavy hand polish, machine polish and careful attention to proper level of all frets so you can play cleanly, bend smoothly and be more in tune.
This process can include fret level/crown/polish and a proper setup with a new set of strings. This is a maintenance only service and no re-frets are performed by me. Possible consultation for re-fret if required on older instruments with many levels or improperly installed frets.
Service includes a new set of strings (players preference), proper restring/stretching of new strings, any maintenance required to have the best performance ( proper tightening of tuners, saddles, nut lubrication, bridge assembly, etc.) More in tune, more sustain, best intonation and clearer tone!
This service is for the install and/or replacement of hardware including bridges, tuners, pickups, electronic switches, pots, input jacks, etc.
This process may include soldering, electronic testing, setup of new bridge/saddle hardware and testing of new hardware/electronics. You should be able to make it home or to the gig and know your instrument is ready to go!
